i am an undisciplined atmosphere-maker. Intimacy, embodiment, and healing emerge from my work via experimental partnerships contributing to freedom and liberation. i am grateful to collaborate with artworkers, cultural spaces, and place-specific bio matter unearthing transformative ways to play (process through which we feel and propel change) on molecular and infrastructural levels. ➰

Most recently commissioned by Eastside Projects, making my most aligned experiment to date between Dakar and Birmingham with extraordinary artists and artworkers 2023-2024. i have previously been commissioned by organisations including Ikon Gallery x Vivid Projects (Birmingham); Outside In (UK); Performance N’tha (Liverpool); Maia Group x Julie’s Bicycle’s (Birmingham); Kutlturfabrik (Luxembourg); Coventry Biennial (Coventry); ShapeArts (London); Warwick Arts Centre (Coventry); Apples and Snakes (London). i have given talks, mentorship, and workshops at Brunel University (London); San Mei Gallery (London), The New Art Gallery (Walsall), The Theatre and Performance Research Association TaPRA (online International audience), and Grand Union (Birmingham). i have curated in Arcadia Gallery (Coventry), Yard Art House (Birmingham), Vivid Projects (Birmingham). ➿

i love to manifest the vision and make art experiments in partnership with generous and committed artworkers, artists, and institutions. Between 2019 and 2013 i dedicated time in founding an art collective, B.O.O.K (Building Our Own Knowledge): a Black-led arts collective which offered residencies, commissions, and curatorial interventions in the West Midlands; and co-founded Papaya (UK-Luxembourg afro-feminist live art collective). i also founded and curated (2020-2023) Open Call: a re-distribution vehicle for performance artist-researchers, part of Studies in Theatre and Performance journal. Whilst B.O.O.K has ended its mission, Open Call is to continue under new governance, and i resigned from my role with Papaya which is taking a new shape. These experiences have been instrumental to my learning, growth, and re-orienting. 〰

Fundamentally my work is to re-invest in transformative embodiment (re-member, feel, be present, and heal our inherent wholeness*) with art and cultural organisations. i currently live in Birmingham UK in a queer love cloud with my partner, and my child. i am a spiritual trans-being with Congolese, Guadeloupean, and Beninese heritages who experience worlds with complex PTSD, and autism. i give thanks to numerous teachers who held me including but not limited to the land, the water, the air that carried my human and beyond human lineage; warm guidance and support from my ancestors; liberation strategist Michelle Phillips; artist-on-furlough and researcher Carmen Wong; spiritual care coordinator Sym Mendez; teacher of my 21 years old self Hannah Havas; Nina Simone; YunNan; my spirit; Black feminisms; and cloud watching. ➰

there is a number of definition of embodiment, mine is inspired by the wonderful CARE, self-love tribute's work.
